Week 4: Jackson Tan SIA CHONG!

Can you hear that famous tune of 我飞的最高最远* in the background? I did! Cos our guest for Week 4 is Jackson Tan who happens to be in the Star Search 2007! Psst... he is M8 in the competition.

* roughly translates to "I fly the furthest and the highest"

Yep and this week I have got one of our ex-deejay Chloe on the show!

Jackson is also an avid triathlete which he admits that training under the sun has been cut because the producer does not want him to get too dark for TV!

He confesses to be a chocolate lover too, but believes that the trick is to not totally stash it out from your diet, but to have a little bit here and there (subjective of course) so that you wont go on a binge should you ever be presented a 24 pc Ferrero Roche tray.

When asked what he would trade his 6 packs for, our poor contestant hopes for good health in return because he has recently injured his legs and his performance at star search will be in jeopardy!

Yep... i hope that recovers quickly too, cos as I have found out during the show, his talent segment is gonna be one heck of an intersting performance!

P.S if you guys need tickets to his show on the 18th Sept, email me at playon.smube@gmail.com , first come first served!

Week 2 Guest! SMU Rugby Prez is on air!

Despite the population of SMU, it has a respectable number of national athletes and I happen to be lucky enough to get one of em on my show!

Like most of us at SMU, Amos is still trying to ease back into school after his overseas games with the Singapore team and helping SMU clinch the Blacks 10s Bowl Champions spot. As if that's not enough, he has to juggle trainings which occur at least 5 times a week. Well... national rugby player and president of the SMU Rugby, what'd expect?

Onward to the important questions! Questions in bold, rough replies from Amos in italics, (and my thoughts in brackets)

=============================

When did you start having a six pack?

I did not set out specifically to train to get a six pack. However, it helped when I was with the track team in Secondary school where the training was pretty rigourous.

Then what's your diet like?

I take 4-5 meals a day but definitely no supper for me. As an athlete, I have to be very watchful over what I eat.
(Man, he sounds like he's those kind who eats Yong Tau Hu everyday. I decided to ask anyway)
Yeah if you catch me eating in the school kopitiam, i would probably be eating Yong Tau Hu. That's pretty much what's available in school that I can eat.
(Ah... that's the good ol' hard work we all like)

I would trade my six pack for...

An eight pack.
(I had initally suggested that he should trade it for a rugby trophy of his choice. But he said that if he could get the trophy, he would probably have to be fit enough and automatically get a six pack)

=============================

These questions and answers were of course only a small part of the show and heavily translated into my own words. It was awesome to have someone so committed to his sport like Amos on the show. I ain't no rugby expert, but you are bound to have interesting things to find out about and fun stuff to say when someone is so committed.
GO SMU RUGBY!
